bullet  Noted events in his life were:

• Birth, 1773. 6 Ramona's conclusiion is that, "According to the census, he was born about 1771-75. "
It appears that she calculated those years by combining the informtion from the 1810, 1820,1830 censu:
1. he is on the 1810 census, age 26 to 44 (1766-84)
2. James is on the 1820 census, age 45 or over (before 1776)
3. he is on the 1830 census, age 50 to 59 (1771-80)
4. the common value to 1, 2, and 3 above is (1771-1775)
So, I'll us 1773 instead of a range.

• Tax Record, 1801, , Barren, Kentucky, USA. 7 On 5/28/2015 2:46 PM, Geralyn Barry wrote:
The J. Frazer paying the taxes for the heirs is probably one of three possible sons whose names started with J-: either (1) John, (2) James or (3) Jeremiah. My guess is that it was (3) Jeremiah, because in 1799 Jeremiah (in Jessamine Co., formed 1799) paid the taxes on the Jessamine Creek property (now in Jessamine Co) and on 720 acres on Little Sandy - both on his own account, as as a representative of heirs. Son (1) John Frazer was already in Barren Co. KY in 1799, paying tax on 360 acres of the Little Sandy land. And son (2) James Frazer was probably also in Barren Co. in 1799. I know that in 1800, (1) James Frazer was in Barren Co. paying tax on some of the Little Sandy land, as was a James Berry in 1801 - paying tax in Barren Co. KY on 200 acres of the Little Sandy land.
Another correction... That last sentence should refer to James Frazer, not John Frazer. It should read:
I know that in 1800, (2) James Frazer was in Barren Co. paying tax on 360 acres of the Little Sandy land, as was a James Berry in 1801 - paying tax in Barren Co. KY on 200 acres of the Little Sandy land.
In other words, there were 2 Frazers in Barren County paying taxes on and on Little Sandy in 1799-1800: John (360 acres in 1799) and James (360 acres in 1800). It is not yet clear where James Frazer was in 1799 or where John Frazer was in 1800, although I know where they were later!
